8 More Cantonese YouTube Channels (Intermediate)

Last year, I made a video featuring 8 Cantonese Youtubers that a lot of my viewers seemed to enjoy. In the comments to that video, a lot of people asked for more recommendations so I’m going to update my list with 8 more channels to take your Cantonese to the next level! These channels are best suited for intermediate and advanced learners, but I also encourage beginners to check them out, especially the ones with English subtitles.

1. Made with Lau

Made with Lau is an awesome cooking channel by Bay Area filmmaker Randy Lau and his dad who is a retired Chinese chef. The production is top notch, and the food is mouthwatering. I even tried to make their Cantonese steamed eggs on my own channel. The dad (a.k.a. Daddy Lau) always gives his instructions in Cantonese (w/ subtitles) so you can up your cooking + Cantonese game at the same time! Not all of the dishes they make require a lot of experience or a fully stacked kitchen, and Daddy and Mommy Lau are always sharing their cooking and grocery shopping wisdom!

2. Lizzydaily

Lizzy is a Hong Kong vlogger based in Korea. Her videos show her life in Korea with her Brazilian husband (interesting, right?). She posts quite often, mainly about her day-to-day, what she eats, taking care of her dog, and most recently her pregnancy! I really enjoy her vlogs and watch them whenever I run on the treadmill because they’re the perfect length (12-16 minutes long)!

3. 新德莉莉 New Dellily

Lily is an Indian girl born and raised in Hong Kong. In her videos, she shares Indian culture but through the lens of a Hong Konger (which I find pretty fun and unique!) I also really like her videos where she asks her family and boyfriend questions (her father speaks Cantonese while her mom and boyfriend seem to understand). Lily also has a really funny and bubbly personality!

4. Tirion Law

Tirion is a Hong Kong dancer who joined the National Ballet of Canada in 2018. On her channel, she talks about dancing, nutrition and her life in Canada. It’s always interesting to see the inner workings of someone who’s reached such a high level in their field, and Tirion does us a solid by vlogging about it too!

5. Ling Cheng

Ling Cheng is another Hong Konger who lives and works in Korea. She covers beauty, luxury, travel and lifestyle and also takes you behind the scenes of the work she does outside of Youtube, such as filming with ViuTV. If you like Lizzy, you’re sure to like her too!

6. Hana Tam

Cool girl Hana Tam is a HK singer-songwriter, actress and video creator. Her videos are really fun and well put together. She does it all from beauty tutorials to daily vlogs to behind the scenes from the events that she’s a part of. She does speak a little fast, but I’m always up for the challenge!

7. Pumpkin Jenn

Jenn is a HK vlogger/influencer. She doesn’t post as much as she used to since it seems she’s more focused on her beauty line these days, but she has a really deep catalog full of vlogs, story times, GRWMs and product reviews! I like Jenn’s videos because of their quality and her personality. She’s a little bubbly and a little sassy, and I always find myself laughing a lot when I watch her videos!

8. Coffee林芊妤

FINALLY! WORKING OUT IN CANTONESE! Like I’ve said before on my channel, I like to listen to Cantonese when I run/work out. Well what’s better than a workout video IN Cantonese? Coffee runs a popular fitness channel and was the first Cantonese Youtuber to break 1 million subscribers! Coffee is specifically a yoga instructor, but she also covers other kinds of exercises and nutrition as well!
